Metal support on macOS
I am using Discord primarily for work. I do sound design for film, and I'm routing a stereo downmix from my DAW (Nuendo/Reaper/Ableton Live) and screensharing with clients for real-time collaboration.
This works well on Windows and I can get a good framerate sent out to the client (using Nitro), but I'm getting awful stuttery performance on both my end and theirs on macOS. I'm told that this is because GPU acceleration is not used on the macOS version of Discord.
I know Discord is primarily a gamer-chat app, but so far, this is the only app that fits this niche for me. Slack doesn't allow choosing a dedicated audio device on macOS and is limited to only the default system sounds, Facetime only works if the client is on an Apple device, and Skype is just Skype.
I would love to see GPU acceleration added to the macOS version of Discord.

just giving this a bump so it doesn't get lost in the mix.

on macos you could us an app called Loopback or Dante Via to route audio between applications. options on Windows include Voicemeeter Banana/Potato, Dante Via, and any audio interface that supports loopback routing (RME Totalmix is insanely good for this kind of routing).
