Disable or remove call button on mobile app

    I second this.

Seriously, no offense to those of this it applies to, but is anyone really using calls and video calls on mobile discord so much that it's absolutely necessary to have these both as shortcuts at the header of every single DM? Especially when you can just click the contact button and it immediately displays both of these options anyway?

Does cutting out exactly one button / screen / key press (2 presses down to 1) in order to initiate a voice call or video call offset the inconvenience caused by accidentally pressing it and getting a large chunk of data eaten immediately because the recipient accepted before you could cancel (mobile app tends to lag when calls are initiated and ended), and then the app doesn't let you immediately cancel, and your data's being destroyed?

I don't really think any program in this day and age should be one press away, accidental or otherwise,  from showing yourself off to people you might have only met because they were healers in your PUG. Why can we have "privacy and security" settings that scan direct messages for explicit content, but the same privacy and security settings can't also have an option to entirely disable features that we don't wish to use, accidentally or otherwise.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that it's my fault I accidentally pocket-dialed a contact and started a video call with her, and then 10 minutes later I noticed a call was going and a huge chunk of my data was gone, I admit that fact. But having a button that big on the forefront of every single DM, when more people accidentally click it than purposely click on it...that's kind of just unnecessary and a user-unfriendly design choice.

Especially when previous versions of the app didn't have the same problem.

Or at the very very least, a confirmation popup before the call gets through?

Ive accidentally called people WAY more often than made actual legitimate calls, by a long margin. Also often at night, when i reply to some message before bed and accidentally press that button and have a mini heart attack everytime and then have to apologize. Kinda embarrasing.

@Sofitya Absolutely agree, it's so dumb that we don't even have an option to "always ask for confirmation when calling".
It's such a subtle change, it would help me stress a lot less if we were to have it..

I might need that too. Can't stand that botton on the top right, especially right now with all the stuttering the app is having.
