Version 76.0.3809.100 of Google Chrome does not play sound when sharing application on Discord call.

Version 76.0.3809.100 (64 bit) does not allow audio playback with Discord screen share. 

Previous versions, such as 75.0.3770.80 (64 bit), do allow audio playback. Simply uninstalling chrome and reinstalling version 75.0.3770.80 will allow Discord users viewing Chrome through someone sharing their screen to hear the audio of Chrome. 

There are also other applications that have issues with screen sharing. Examples of these are: Firefox and VLC(choppy audio).

  Hello there , this is actually a known bug https://trello.com/c/G0BybbG4 and if you want to you can join discord.gg/discord-testers where you can also report bugs in the future.
