Do not make bot messages dependent on "Show website preview info from links pasted into chat"
At the moment, rich text* bot messages are dependent on the setting "Show website preview info from links pasted into chat" being turned on for the messages to show. If the setting is turned off, the bot appears to be sending a blank message instead (as opposed to a visible link). This effectively forces people to keep this setting toggled on for communities in which bots post (for example) the chat rules.
This behaviour is confusing and gives the impression that something is broken.
Please consider either:
1) making rich text bot messages independent of this setting,
2) displaying a text-only version of the content
3) when the setting is turned off, displaying a link to the omitted rich-text content.
I've listed them in order of personal preference, but any fix would be fine. I would really prefer not to be forced to keep link previews on to be able to use Discord across several communities.
(* I assume this only affects rich text messages. Discord support implied this should be true for all bot messages. To quote:
"Going back to your concern, I would like to clarify that the bot messages are treated as links by the Discord app. Now, since the bots are not posting any links, the messages would not appear as a link when the "Show website preview info from links pasted into chat" option has been turned off."
However, I have seen unformatted bot messages go through fine even with this setting turned off.)

Link previews and embeds are built the same way in the client, that's why the setting affects both and not because the bot message is treated as link.
This setting is past due to be split (or embeds to be immune to it), it makes no sense other than being a not well thought implementation design.
