This feature is needed as most people use YouTube Music like me, please add it.

    Great idea, considering we can already show Spotify as our status, adding YouTube Music or even Deezer, SoundCloud, iTunes or any other music applications would be totally epic!

    I’m on iOS and part of the people that don’t use Spotify, I use Deezer and I would also like to have a “ Listening to Deezer “ with the music playing, if that was possible it would be really nice :)

    @N0RMiE: Besides the Chrome extension which works in all Chromium-based browsers like Opera, Edge, Vivaldi etc. there also is a Firefox extension for this:

    Also note that any streaming site (including YouTube) which can be scrobbled to your Last.fm profile in a web player with another browser extension called Web Scrobbler can be displayed in a Discord channel with the .fmbot command ".fm". This bot works on any Discord server, the admin or a mod has to install it first though.

    Discord should be reading the Media Session API in which streaming service set metadata.

    A LastFM-integration is otherwise also a good implementation; as most streaming services also send data there.

    There is a Windows app called PreMiD. You also need to download its firefox/chrome extension. Then add some websites there from the presence store. You also need to add YouTube Music to do that.

    i would also really appreciate this, as i too use Youtube as my main source for music
    Im old school. Soundcloud would be pretty neat as well.

    Towards the end of 2019 Youtube released a Progressive Web App for Youtube Music that installs as an actual app on your PC.

    I think it uses similar API, except the PWA allows integration with media keys - and because of this I suspect you could plug into the PCs media stream ID (As in, windows own "Playing now" feature).
