Extreme rate limits on the role create endpoint
Discord recently introduced extreme rate limits on the role create endpoint. Bots that hit this limit are unable to create any roles for more than 24 hours. This is obviously an extreme limitation and I don't think that such a huch cooldown is appropriate.
It's also hard to tell when these rate limits occur. Atleast I wasn't able to figure it out.
Please remove these extreme rate limits from the create role endpoint. A small cooldown between each role creation is obviously fine.

You only seem to get the 24h cooldown after you created more than 250 in less than 48 hours. While this is fine for most bots, this is still a limiting factor for bots like Xenon.
The 24 hour cooldown is far away from the rate limits on any other endpoint and I still don't really get the point of such a huge cooldown.

Obviously this rate limit is not needed and it will basically destroy Xenon. For those, who don't understand, Xenon is a Discord bot used to make backup of your server by copying channels, roles and so, meaning that it is very handy for people that are suspicious about their staff.
With this limit introduced, Xenon is not able to restore the roles - let's say you create an empty guild to restore your backups. Xenon must create (aka. restore) your roles from the backup, but it can't.
Kindly please, Discord, remove this feature to keep Xenon up. The developers of the bot (especially Merlintor) putted hundreds of money and thousands of hours to make the bot.
In my opinion, the limit is not needed at all. If you think that some bots and their developers might abuse this, you should then make an appeal for bots like Xenon and at least manually remove the rate limit.

i don't see why discord would implement such feature. there hasn't been any issues regarding this topic and i understand that discord a taking precautions but i don't think it should be this strict

This will cause years of making to fall to a pile of dust. Think about it, xenon has been up for ages, do you really want these bots to literally fall apart?
Discord, please also note, Merlin had to buy the servers, he put money into this. Please remove it.8 -
I think that if this is purely targeted at XenonBot then its a very underhanded way of squeezing the life out of an established and developed bot. If this is indeed the case then Discord needs to work hand-in-hand with Merlin to negate the alleged API abuse so that safe guards and programmatic limits can be gracefully introduced. Hitting XenonBot with a sledge hammer definitely isn't going to achieve much and if anything, the fallout and knock-on effect across the Discord developer community will become toxic and strain the relationships that have taken so much time, effort and money to establish.
Come on Discord, I know you guys are way better than this ! Its out of character for you guys to squeeze the life out of something that enriches the Discord experience.
Discord, please reach out to merlin and solve the issue amicably before the whole debacle muddies the waters and reputations are tainted.8 -

Just do it I use backup bot and Xeon and if my server get raided I can't restore my server
