Numerous Screen Reader Accessibility Issues
There are a large number of screen reader accessibility issues with Discord.
Windows:
- message actions menu is not easily accessible. This makes reacting to messages and editing, quoting and deleting messages very difficult. Perhaps being able to select a message and press a keyboard shortcut like Shift+F10 would help.
- Once I enter a search term into the search box and press enter to see results, I press tab and the screen reader will not read me the results.
- After typing and entering into the quick switcher (Control+K) it does not usually present the list of results, rather it just takes me to the first result.
- For both windows and web, the when connected to voice channel there is a mute and unmute button but no deafen/undeafen button aside from the one associated with user status.
- Once I'm in a channel and I go to the top of the page and select the servers tree view and select a different server from the tree view, I am still in the same channel as I was before. Clicking an option in the servers tree view usually does nothing.
- I cannot find a list of all pings I have received in all servers. If that exists, it can't be easily found with a screen reader.
- Selecting an emoji and then reacting with it doesn't work. For example if I go to message action and select the thumbsup emoji it doesn't work.
- I cannot view who has reacted with what emoji e.g I want to view a list of people who reacted with heart. I can easily do that on IOS.
- Dragging to reorder servers does not work with screen readers. Instead, a contextual menu easily accessible with Shift+F10 would be really helpful. This menu could include options like move up, move down, create folder, etc.
- Windows and Web: I cannot see the number of people who have reacted to a comment with a specific reaction whereas I can see this info in the iOS mobile app. Voiceover says "tumbsup, 13" but on Windows I don't see this info.
iOS
- When viewing messages I cannot click on sender's names to view their profile. Voiceover says (on a single line) "mya, today at 2:15 pm". This does not allow me to click on the name Mya.
- When I clickin on "members" (while in a channel) and then click on a user to view their profile, there is no back button to get back to the members list. Similarly, on the list of members screen there is no back button to go back to the messages. Same deal when connected to voice channel. When I press and hold on a reaction to view who reacted, it brings up the list of people who have reacted but there is again no back button. In addition there are tabs for the different reaction e.g there's one for thumbsup and on for heart Let's say I press and hold the thumbsup reaction to see who reacted with thumbsup and then want to see who reacted with heart. Clicking on the heart tab does nothing.
- When connected to voice channel (and this applies to windows and web too) I cannot tell if people are muted or unmuted. In addition, when I click the mute/unmute button and the deafen/undeafen button Voiceover does not tell me whether I'm muted or unmuted or deafened or undeafened. It just says "toggle mute" or "toggle deafen" which is not helpful.
- When I use the search box and see the result, it doesn't show me how many results there are. On Windows it'll tell me there are
1000 results but I do not get this info with iPhone and VoiceOver.
- This is not pertaining to screen reader accessibility but using Discord on my iPhone causes it to heat up significantly and the battery drains drastically, more than most other apps.
General Feature Request
- be able to sort search results by revevance, earliest to latest and latest to earliest. Right now everything is sorted by latest to earliest.

Hey, thank you for the feedback!
You should definitely submit accessibility feedback over to https://dis.gd/a11y.
As for your second point in iOS, correct there is no back button. You should two-finger scrub (make a Z-like motion with 2 fingers) to dismiss these modals.
Fourth point on iOS: this is an overall feature request for the mobile application as the number of results aren't displayed.
