Let us turn off the blue UI frames

The blue frame around various UI elements on hitting direction keys is incredibly distracting and there is no way I can see to turn it off.

I'm never going to use it on purpose(and I'm honestly not sure what its intended purpose is - especially since it applies to all sorts of things other than just messages, including the 'open original' link when viewing an image and the 'message #channel' box). I am going to accidentally trigger it and be frustrated that it can't be turned off.

It also creates inconsistent behavior where sometimes using the up and down keys scrolls normally(if you click on the scroll bar) and sometimes it scrolls bizarrrely fast(if you've clicked on a message and it starts doing the blue frame highlighting).

 

e: After more searching this appears to be part of a new keyboard navigation mode. I still would like this to be something you could disable entirely, or else switch it so that you press tab to enter keyboard mode and can press tab again to disable it. There's no reason for this to be on at all times.

  Yes, please, let us turn off the blue boxes.  I have to rely entirely on my arrow keys for scrolling on my laptop because my trackpad is unreliable, and this feature makes it incredibly hard to read posts that don't fit entirely on the screen because it hops to the next one instead of scrolling smoothly through the post when I press the down arrow. It might be helpful if someone needs to jump through a bunch of messages, but for me, it's very frustrating.  I know page up and page down exist, but even those throw me off. I much prefer being able to scroll smoothly through a message, and was actually very happy when that was enabled.  Now...not so much.  Also the fact that tab doesn't work like it's always worked everywhere is aggravating.

  This feature is godawful. And looking back, I still don't have ways to disable the other stuff I hated.

  How do I leave discord before this gets worse?

  It's very stressful because sometimes the frames show up and sometimes they don't!
  I wish there was at least a choice.
