Add input/output control to the main interface or in a popout menu

I find myself going into the settings to adjust my output volume pretty often. It would be cool to have some sort of widget somewhere on the main interface or a popout menu similar to how the "Connection Info" popout works. In the case of a popout, maybe it could be triggered by right clicking the mute speakers icon.
