Issues with the new UI

I've gotten to the point where I try to get used to a change in interface in whatever platforms I use frequently, but the changes in this case are notable enough where I feel that I need to add my voice to the concerns already listed by many other users. I'm just going to list my opinions on the notable changes.

While I don't mind the way new messages line is displayed or that the message you hover over gets darker, they're still not my favorite additions, even if I'm mostly ambivalent towards those changes. I'd also prefer if there were lines in between messages like there used to be, but I think I could get used to it if I absolutely had to, if there were literally no other alternatives, such as rolling back the latest update.

The reaction bar though. I have trouble articulating my thoughts beyond "it's terrible. Eewww. Stop it. Get rid of it" because of how jarring it is, but I'll try to explain why I reacted that way. It's admittedly very distracting when I'm trying to scroll past messages or focus on a specific one when that bar pops up instantly. I've heard you can "fix" it by turning off reactions, but that is a very dumb workaround. I like using reactions, but I won't if this reaction bar remains.  

All of that being said, there's not really much point in getting furious about all this. Yes, a lot of the changes seem to designed to annoy a large amount of people and the lack of communication about the interface changes is baffling, but it's out of my control to revert any of those changes. The best I can do is express my displeasure at the new update and hope that my concerns are listened to.
