**Issue Resolved**
Issue Cause- Using Corsair Void Elite RGB Wireless.
Resolution- Run discord in windows 7 compatibility mode. Problem solved.
1: Close Discord
2: Right click discord - Click Properties
3: Compatibility Tab
4: Change compatibility mode to Windows 7

Issue NOT resolved.
Running in compatibly mode did not fix the issue for me. Also, compatibly mode is at best a bandaid, not a solution.1 -
If it didn't work. Then you did it wrong.
Google it and try again.-10 -
@Drewskii That absolutely does not help. There are many factors which could result in issues. Just because it works on your and mine system doesn't mean it works on all systems. @Aru I know it's a work around and no solution but it may help some people while the bug gets fixed (probably not that soon)

That did actually temp solve it for me, but sadly I wish there both was a full fix for it as well as the white bar thingy. I personally don't know why it would work for some but not for others.. the only thing I can think of is maybe they have something extra that others don't have or something along those lines.

Same thing happend to me, I can confirm the fix for it is running discord in compatability mode. but it is quite easy to get wrong.
you need to right click the desktop icon and goto file location, here C:\Users\Your USERNAME\AppData\Local\Discord
then open the folder \app-0.0.306 <----------this number may change with new versionsright click discord.exe and troubleshoot compatability set if for windows 7 and the delay is gone for me. When I first did it i right clicked discord open file location and set update.exe for compatability but that is where I went wrong.
just putting this here for anyone who makes the same mistakes.

In my case, i don't have a Corsair headset but i have a Corsair ST100 Headset Stand which has a built-in 3.5mm analog jack, ever since i plugged it to my PC i was facing the same issue with Discord. I know it is not from iCUE because i already use it for my Corsair Keyboard.
My temporary fix was that i "disabled" the input and output of the Stand's built-in jack in Windows Settings. Both Discord and the Stand's RGB lights are working fine with me now.

I've read elsewhere that resetting your network adapter helps. Still same problem here

After updating to the latest iCUE Software, I too encountered this issue. What seems to happen is that iCUE adds the stand as both a microphone & a speaker, and causes some sort of conflict. I simply went into my sound settings and disable the "iCUE Microphone" & "iCUE Headset" and my Discord works flawlessly (working on latest Windows at the time of this writing & iCUE Software Version)

There's another issue with using Windows 7 compatability mode. It disables your audio whenever you screen share. Was trying to watch some stuff with my homie and he couldn't hear. I remembered I had to do this trick to get my sounds to stop being delayed, so I had to revert it back in order to share my audio as well. Compatability mode is a temp fix, for sure, but it isnt a REAL solution. The problem is most likely an iCue issue because lets face it boys, Corsair products may be amazing, but their software sucks ass.

Hello. I have the temporal band-aid of running discord in Windows 8 Compatible mode, but I still have the white line when run in a full window, and whenever I screen share the audio of whatever app I have does not go through. It's just muted.
Has there been any updates on this? I seriously want to get rid of the white line, no delayed audio and audio coming through my screenshares.0 -
I have the same problem , compatibilty with Windows 7 is working but i have the white line on top of my discord . Please someone help

Like many others I have the discord delyaing. I currently own both iCUE as well as a corsair virtuoso SE headset. Putting it in windows 7 compatibility makes the delay fixed but has the annoying white line. If anyone has found a solution please let us know.

This issue is *not* limited to Discord, unfortunately. I'm using this headset for work, using inContact MAX as our call center software, and I'm getting the same issue with that - delayed system notifications, sometimes none at all. It happens on my personal PC with Discord as well, but it's a major issue with the iCUE software.

I had this problem too, and I'm using a Corsair Void headset. I didn't have iCue installed. I also only had this problem on one pc, even though I used the same headset on another and had no issues (also had no iCue installed).
The ONLY way I could fix it was to run Discord as an admin and it works fine now. I did install iCue on my main computer (the one that was having an issue) and as long as I run Discord as Admin, it's still fine! Hopefully this helps somebody.

I can confirm the temporary fix with windows 7 compatibility mode. But that doesn't change the fact that my headset is discord certified. So it should reasonably mean that this shouldn't happen. The problem has been going on for over 7 months, as you can see from the older posts on the internet.
Now let's all stand up against corsair and make sure this is fixed soon! I have already sent corsair a mail. The more people do that, the more effect it has. Come on people! We can do this!!1 -
confirm that you are using the right version of java, or reinstall the whole program. Make sure that minecraft and broswers aren't running when you update/reinstall Java

@AsparigusIsSus,
Java is completely up to date, the problems still occur when only running discord, without running minecraft or browsers.0 -
Something seems to have changed, running Discord in Windows 8 compatibility mode no longer gives it the fancy white bar at the top and it also fixes the sound delay.

So i stayed in contact with the corsair support team for the last few weeks to finally try to get this bug fixed.
The support team is trying to get me to return my headset, while its clear this is a icue bug. So the support is really bad at the moment.
please all contact support for this, they cant ignore us when we all contact them0 -
Unreaz
That didnt work for me :(
anyone else figure out a solution?

Unreaz
Didn't work for me either.0 -
@unreaz, that is a temporary fix, because it brings some white bars at each side of the window.
I want a good fix, and that must be done in Icue, because i believe this is a bug.0 -
The run un compatibility does fix the delayed sound, then another slew of issues comes up. Permanent fix is to ditch Corsair and their ICue software. I just moved to Steelseries and have no more delayed sounds. I also before doing that uninstalled the icue software and guess what, the delays are gone. this is a Corsair issue not a discord issue and they refuse to even research it even after multiple tickets placed.

Indeed. Gonna switch as soon as possible as well.
They wanted me to do a warrany return, even after i showed them multiple links with other people.0 -
Ultimately, I made the decision to go with another headset. This isn't an issue with Discord and Corsair, it's an *overall* Corsair issue that can affect software, as well. It's really disappointing as I liked the Virtuoso, and Corsair as a whole, but this issue (and their apparent refusal to acknowledge/fix it) are not worth the hassle.
Ended up with a SteelSeries Arctis 7, and haven't had any issues with it. Highly recommended.

Solution without launching discord in compatibility mode
As written in this article:
https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046953891-What-to-do-if-your-headset-is-incompatible-with-Discord-s-latest-audio-subsystem
The easiest way to end the delay is to switch the audio system from 'Standard' to 'Legacy'
You can find this in Settings > Voice and Video > Audio Subsystem
After changing the audio subsystem to 'Legacy' it should work fine. You can also turn the compatibility mode off0 -
I am now on the latest ICUE Version (3.36.125) and running Discord in compatability mode for Windows 8 and its working fine. No delay

Yes we all know windows 8 compatibility mode is a temporary solution.
they are actually working on a fix over at discord and corsair to fix the problem, so we never again have to set the compatibility mode.0
