Camera and screensharing not working for me

When i turn on screensharing or my camera, it does not work for some reasons. It crashes my discord when i turn on my carera or screensharing. And i dont know why but this only happens for me, not others. I even tried reinstalling discord and it still does not work.

Please fix this.

    I have the exact same problem, or rather, had the exact same problem. My camera works just fine now after updating some of my drivers, BUT I still can't screenshare without discord crashing 100% of the time after going through the trouble of updating pretty much all of my drivers, turning off hardware acceleration, clearing my cache and local storage files, and reinstalling it twice. At this point, there's nothing I can do to fix it.

    I have been having the exact same problem as well. I've noticed that on mobile sharing the camera works just fine, but if I go to my laptop and try to share my camera or screen to someone else, my discord crashes. I've also found that if I share my screen in a server and no one looks at it, it does not crash. As soon as someone joins the video it then crashes.

    I have been having the same issues as well. At this point it crashes so hard my computer ceases to function until I restart it. Can someone please look into this issue?

    I am a blind bat. I've learned that when you go into the Voice and Video settings, under the advanced, there is the section Video Codec. I disabled both Hardware Acceleration and the video codec OpenH264. Now my screen sharing and camera work fine. I don't know if this will fix the rest of your guy's problems, but it did for me. 

    (The Video Codec and Hardware Acceleration settings might be overloading Discord and/or the device when on. I have a crappy laptop, so I most probably had that issue because my laptop couldn't take it.)

    Same problem with me but I have found a work around by using the discord browser when you want to use your camera or screen sharing. It's inconvenient and might be slower but it does the job. Hope that helps
