Consecutive Ping Timeout

It really annoys me sometimes if someone sends me 8 messages in the span of a minute, because every message gets its own ping sound and it really breaks my flow whilst working or gaming. If it had a short timeout and could only ping once every 30s or even every minute per message per person on my contacts, it would avoid me getting spammed with noise during important moments - and would let me distinguish between different people pinging me at the same time.

  For this I think it should be expanded, e.g. you can only @ a user,  or a role, once every hour or something like that. This would prevent mention spam as well.
