Reporting an underage user.
Hey Discord, user 667565592999493632 (hail the C H E E S E L O R D-#1569) seems about 8-12. I sadly have no screen shots of her face but I can confirm she is underage, please take my word for it. She has blocked me, banned me from servers when I try to confront her about it. She has hype squad and is very sensitive with cursing, dark jokes and people correct their grammar. I think you should deal with her.

You have no proof. Discord does not ban users unless they have evidence a user is likely under 13 (such as mentioning own age).

Lol, you don't have any proof so why would you report them? Don't report a user just because you think they're underage.
The blocking I can explain- she doesn't want to be called under the age of 13 and you're just annoying her about it. Just leave her alone lol.

If you have any type of message id which showcases her admitting to being -13 submit a report to discord
If you do not, I'd simply recommend informing any server mods (which share a server with you and her) that she has a high chance of being -13, so if she does admit to being -13 that the mods will take appropriate action and report the user to discord (while banning the user.)

Im having the same problem, except i do have message id's with another account.
the proof is high with the
constant lying
admittance that he/she is 8 years old
and when i said that he/she is underage, instantly said something along the lines of
*oop meant to say 14 xd*

there is this dude that says he's 12 and actually sounds like 10 and he's in a discord servers with people older than him and he's getting bullied in those servers and he's not having a good behaviour.

a) "seems about" isn't really good enough. Also, it's hard to get actual "proof" of someone being underage, except for them explicitly stating that. Discord cannot and should not judge a user's age based on an image of them, so that wouldn't work. Discord staff also generally don't do much about a general claim that a user's self is underage, as they could be joking or could be lying about their age for whatever reason.
b) You are in the API section: multiple users have already said this.
c) "please take my word about it" definitely works on a platform such as Discord...

So there was a user called soggyglittertoes#6342 and just by the name you can tell that he is underaged. I was friends with him for over 5 months now but when I realized that he was in the same state as I was/Delaware we decided we meet at the local McDonald's for a break and when I biked there and met him he was just 11 years old and he told me that. By the time when I got home I started to worry. I started to worry because he is a little kid and we where both in a server where peoppe swear a bit and sometimes post memes that are not so child friendly. And I found out this kid what not doing what he should and he tricked her mother into believing that didcord is a place where he had alot of friends on and was child friendly. I am writing this report because I am scared that this kid is going to learn some bad stuff on discord.

It is COPPA law, which is why Discord cannot allow users under 13. By allowing users that they are very aware are under 13, this can lead to legal trouble.

Lavaman, just because you don't agree with the law doesn't meant you dont have to follow it. Also, there are (sadly) pedophiles and other terrible people on Discord that will abuse or use kids, also why COPPA exists

You must be underage to be using this app I assume from the way you're responding.
1: Kids tend to be uneducated on topics, especially about online safety, and even if they are edcuated they probably don't understand the consequenses
2: It can! They legally have to ban them due to them being under the age of 13, if something bad happens to the child or if they don't include the fact that all users must be 13+, they can get into a lawsuit and from what I know of, lose Discord all together. Either way, the law doesn't care about opinions, it justifies right and wrong

As stated many times, it is COPPA law. Just because someone doesn’t agree with the law does not mean they don’t have to follow it.
COPPA prohibits websites from collecting data from users under 13 without parent permission. Signing up, sending messages, etc. are considered collecting data. And Discord (and many websites) don’t do parent permission exception to avoid disputing if a user has had permission from parents.
Take YouTube for an example. They were fined for collecting data from users watching videos that were clearly towards kids under 13. Yes, we all probably get that COPPA regulations suck, but it is the law.
