Add a warning to the top of non-verified bots about scam bots and how to avoid them.

There have been a lot of bots (with the bot tag) spamming messages claiming to be from discord and giving "free nitro". There is no easy way to just right click and report a bot in the client either. There are both bots and user bots. Having a message saying that the bot is not verified nor owned by Discord would definitely help combat the spam bot accounts.

Today I reported a free Nitro scam spam bot (who is using Discord API and therefore has the Bot tag). A few hours, its username was changed to “spambot”. Just curious, was that done by the bot creator or by Discord staff?

Bad idea, most (if not all) Discord users find bots off of things like Discord Bot List (DBL for short). DBL verifies bots by humans to make sure that there isn't a scam bot. Plus you can just report the user. This is a good idea for new Discord users but not bot developers -- it shows to people that their bot could be dangerous even if it isn't.
You can report spam/scam bots to Discord to get the developers account taken down I believe.

Maybe have a tag stating that the bot is not an official or verified bot, rather than a warning about malicious bots. Reporting bots are not easily done through the application at this time through a DM (from what I have tried so far, if there is an easy and fast way please let me know). How would you report the user if the bot is the spam? Or do you mean the spam bot as a user account?
I think a flag/warning of being unverified is a good idea so that the "Free Nitro" bots are not as believable. The warning can be as simple as "This bot is not created or verified by discord" or add warnings like do not click any links, beware of phishing etc
