Server invite being sent to two separate accounts while logged into website & desktop app

I have a separate discord account that I run exclusively in the browser while my main account is run on the desktop app. Whenever I want to join a new server, the invite is sent to both accounts. I had a mini panic attack today when after joining a server, an invite to that server was also sent to the app while it was minimized. I didn't realize it until I maximized the app later that day while family members were in the room. Despite the fact that the "continue to browser" button exists, it does not prevent the app from receiving the invite, and I'd rather not have to cancel an invite every time my separate account joins a server, or worse, accidentally join a server on my main.
