Going live in DM ruined screen sharing

screen sharing in DM was meant for you and the people you were calling with to see, not for it to go live. Bit ridiculous that’d change considering it’s DMs and supposed to be personal and comfortable. It’s meant only for the people you’re talking with. The go live feature is fine for servers (although I wish regular screen share was an option there as well) but in DMs the old system was fantastic, only the people in the call could see & it wouldn’t announce to everybody that you were sharing your screen. A lot of people preferred the more private screen share so it’d be great if there was at least a second option to have the old screen sharing back.

    It was terrible in servers and now its in dms too which is annoying

    It really used to be simpler before. This change has made my experience more difficult.

    With the new go live in DM's you can't listen along with someone on spotify if they are screensharing. It's really frustrating and annoying having to ask people to invite me to listen when it was so simple before.
