GIF Compression ruining every single gif you upload

Why does Discord destroy gifs with the compression so much when you pay $10 / $5 for banners and avatars? I'd understand if it was a free feature but we pay for it, already limited at 10MB and Discord keeps even further cutting it down, what's up with that? I even keep the banners at 600x240 and avatars at 512x512. I just don't get it.
Pictures go as following.
1. Before saving.
2. After saving.
3. After saving on bigger profile.

  This! Also bump because I feel like this is a really easy fix on the dev's side

  Why would they even try to compress the images down? like their compression settings are absolutely terrible for banners.

  I manage to get the file size of the gif down to a meager 2-3mb and their compression somehow gets the file size above 10mb so it gets denied when I try to save it. And even when I do manage to upload a gif it just gets absolutely destroyed by their compression to the point that I feel like it could probably trigger a seizure..

  Also also, why is there still no support for animated webp/apng images? they compress so much better while not looking like crap.
