Focus on what matters on Discord
The title wants to explore how can Discord a better place to use in the sea of servers.
My experience:
- Even though I have disabled notifications, suppress the @ ping but most of the time still found myself wandering around mindlessly because I felt the need to press on stuff.
- Sometimes there's some server I really like but for me to focus I don't like having it display in front of me and this makes it hard sometimes to decide to leave the server you love for a while or just leave and forget all completely and can't find them again
- There are also inactive servers but with a lot of contacts piling up and I don't want to leave but they starting to pile up.
Suggestions:
- Servers could have a "hide" feature and enable it again afterward or we can choose our favorite and hide all the rest - no need for muting every server just hide them all
- Folders can instead make into some kind of packs or solid color state compares to having a 2x2 folder display all the server content. Potentially having customizable folders icon and etc.
It would help a lot if Discord can help users really make the brain less fatigue when there's so many good servers but we also want to have the ability to focus on what's close to us.
