I believe that the current Discord layout is very unsafe and can cause users to be vulnerable to dox attacks/sim swap attacks/over-the-phone harassment. Currently, whenever you have a phone number attached and go to your Discord settings you will see the last 4 of the number, and the rest is censored out. I personally believe that no part of the phone number should be visible because there are a bunch of scenarios in which the last 4 can be leaked. I've decided to give some an example/scenario

Scenario 1. Streamer (without streamer mode enabled) goes to change his input/output on Discord and accidentally leaks these to his stream. Everyone knows how sketchy the internet is and how much people can do with the last 4 of someone's phone number. 

 

My suggestion is to hide/censor the entirety of the phone number and only allow the user to see it whenever he clicks the "Reveal button".

  I believe that we should be able to sign-up WITHOUT A PHONE as well.  It's much safer this way.  I verified using my email, but now, I'm being asked for a phone number which I don't have, and I certainly DO NOT WANT to use a phone from work.
