I'm Mistaken as a "Likely Spammer" With Messages I'm Trying To Send
-
Its pretty annoying to click Show message on every single message when i chatting with friend.
Is it possible to
- make us click Show every message of th user to see all message
- Allow us to click Not a spammer to disable the message hidden of specific user
- Also make a admin version so that he can disable the message hidden of specific user on that channel(You can enable it back Privacy Setting from the member like Direct Message)

same issue started today, as well as one of my staff. starting to think moving to discord for company comms was a really bad idea

Hey, it's been 2 months that one of our employees is flagged as a likely spammer. Anything I can do to help her get rid of that thing?
-1 -
I have had this issue for over a month now also.
I'm basically paying to have my messages hidden in the servers I am active in....
I have emailed support multiple times for help. Every time they tell me there is no issues with my account. I email them back screenshots to show that I am using the correct email to request support and then include screenshots of my messages that are hidden "from a likely spammer".
It's beyond annoying now and Discord's silence on this issue is getting ridiculous. It seems that they have no control over their own spam filter, not even mods in our servers have the power to mark me as not a spammer. I have invited Discord support to audit my own messages for any clue as to why this has happened.
Discord, please, please please look into this. It's massively damaging my role in the community and furthermore I have never seen anyone else's messages be hidden in this way, even if they are explictily only spamming the same message in multiple servers. What is happening?2 -
Same problem here, I do not know why it marked me as a spammer yesterday. Could it be because I sent one private message to someone and he marked me as a spammer? That's the only thing I can think of. Discord also disabled my account... It's a disaster, I lost all my chats, all my channels, all my "experience" in the channels

got my account blocked again for the third time ... , because my first one got hacked and i still have no help

Same! I've been labeled as a "Likely Spammer" and I'm not sure what to do!

I keep getting the same problem as well. It started earlier this week, cause I run a lot of servers where I host these text based rpgs. But I found that my announcements are being marked as spam for others. Additionally, half the stuff I say in some other servers is marked as such, along with messages from friends. Is there a way to at least disable this feature? It's infuriating cause even if you select to read it it only shows temporarily so if you're in a conversation and you switch tabs you can easily lose your messages cause the notice saying "possible spam message" is so small after it's been opened once that you'll scroll right past it.

I have had this issue since I created my account shortly before new years All messages marked as spam in servers and DMs. My account also gets disabled when I send friend requests and most recently it was disabled after accepting a friend request. (It's been disabled 3 or 4 times since I made it in December). Can't talk in servers, can't add people to my friends list. Support just sends a generic copy-paste telling me I was caught in their spam filter without addressing the points in my ticket. One of their responses seemed like they thought I was reporting myself for spamming because I had included screenshots of my messages being hidden. Most recently my ticket was marked as solved without a response or action taken.

Same issue here. Have 2FA enabled and have not been hacked. Customer support is ghosting me. :(

I started using Discord in January and my accout was disabled right after I verified my email and phone number. I then contacted the support and after waiting FOURTEEN days they enabled my account & said it was because I got caught in the "spam filter".
I'm still labeled as a "likely spammer" and everyone else has to open my messages in order to see what I wrote.
This is complete bullshit.

For anyone still following this my advice is; give up. I've tried for over 3 months now to resolve this and i'm much happier now that I have scheduled my account for deletion and just made a nice new fresh account. It sucks to lose all of your history, roles and contacts but it's better than being gaslit by discord support.
See below my ticket history. The most recent message marked as "solved" is discord support telling me that it's because my password is compromised.
This is highly unlikely to impossible considering I had to reset my account after they disabled it last time and I use a password manager to create a 32 charecter password fresh for every site.
I also use 2fa, that didn't help.
My messages remained hidden as "a likely scammer", weirdly this only was seen by users on desktop not on Discord mobile.... So if Discord truly did believe it was right to hide my messages then why not hide for all users?
Discord support does not work. They seem to only have the power to reset your password and cannot comment (or do not have understanding) regarding how this anti-spam filter works and the effect it has on users who are accidentally trapped by it (forever?).

You all type long paragraphs about this. I don't have this issue but it's useless unless you upvote the thread. The criteria is upvotes not your long essays. 46 comments and 9 upvotes, that explains why this is not a "well aware" thing.

To whom it may concern,
I'm a new user here! Neither Spammer, seller and or Bullshit artist!
Remove any flags, warnings or hard stops from this account.
I'm damn tired of being penalized for rookie mistakes and being disabled
for what you see as hidden messages, spam or other Bullshit.
If you what to voice verify. Then call me!!!!!!!!!

Same question.
I am a mod in 2 communities.
As a result now they have to delist me as a mod.
If I'm really "Likely Spammer", how did I become a mod?
Strongly request to remove this feature! No use at all.
The real spamer should be removed directly!1 -
the same and I sent about 20 emails and they don't want to solve me, the discord support part is very bad

the same, discord should change that after x time it disappears if you don't do any strange activity

Did anyone find a fix? Support is ignoring me, pretty annoyed that this happened on my 2 year old account

same, my friends doesn't even get a notification whenever I send a message, I thought they were ignoring me ://

the same thing, my account was created in 2018, I had a nitro subscription for about half a year and have not been able to solve this problem for a month (support is ignoring me)

So, we cannot have the same number on our "Alt" accounts even though Discord offered easier "Alt account management" several months back, because if you setup an "alt" you immediately get flagged as a likely spammer. We cannot manage our own servers or friends to declare someone is in fact not "likely a spammer" even though we had been friends for over a year already.
So, we're still practicing that thing where the innocent victim is punished along with the criminal. My close friend had been hacked a while back, recovered his account and since has been labelled as a spammer. Something isn't right with the system of account recovery if the hackers actions make you guilty of being a spammer when you get it back.
Wholly inappropriate treatment of members, Discord, you may actually incur the FTC to inquire on your member treatment if you keep this up, especially to those who pay your Nitro. If you in fact do not know how to operate your own software, then you should probably find someone who does, or disable that part of it and stop acting like scrubs.
Looking forward to a better time when my close friend doesn't have to suffer for nearly a year (or more) because his account was hijacked.0 -
Same. I'm having the same thing.

It's very obnoxious of Discord to not resolve this and leave real users behind. The "likely spammer" messages are a bane because the conversation just doesn't flow anymore, and there's zero way to disable the warning. It doesn't even get the actual spammer retrospectively.

I've had this for 3 months now and discord still refuse to help despite never even spamming

Now my account is disabled for breaking terms of service for spam. Very late from them, and this has been a grave mistake to be wrongly suspended.

WAIT, they did it. Discord Support lifted my “likely spammer” thing! Job well done for them then! No sarcasm
AND ALSO, account is no longer disabled!0
