Pyramidal system of roles

Discord uses a linear system of roles, the higher is more important.
I don't like this system, which is very poorly customizable. I want to propose a pyramidal system of roles, when the main (for example) can be 3 roles without exception.
You can make a simple system, and a complex one, similar to block diagrams
