Allow option/toggle for Discord to display emojis native to the current platform in text chat (or to use Twemoji instead)
I understand that this is non-essential, but I wanted to make a post about it anyway.
Basically, as things are, mobile iOS users are forced to see Apple emojis when they use Discord, and everyone else sees Twemoji. However, I was wondering if there could be a toggle in the settings that basically makes it so you can, if you want, use the emojis native to the platform you're using instead, or vice versa. That way, mobile iOS users can see Twemoji like everyone else currently is, Microsoft 11 users can see the Fluent emojis, Android users can see their native emojis, etc.
I know this could potentially cause miscommunication since some emojis can convey different emotions across platforms, but it's not like almost every other thing on the internet doesn't deal with this exact same issue. A solution for it even could be to force the use of Twemoji in your server settings if precise communication really is key. (And this would apply to mobile iOS users as well.)
I understand the need for Twemoji, especially for Windows desktop pre-Windows 11 specifically because the windows emoji set is really lacking prior to the new emoji release, and not many people like them, but I'm not arguing for doing away with Twemoji altogether. I just want the option to see other emoji sets.
