"Something going on here" message.
I'm recently having an issue with "something wrong is going on" message asking for phone verification. I suspect I triggered it because I've sent 4 people in short period of time an invitation to other server (as message showed up immediately after 4th invitation) and measure being implemented to "fight" with bots. However, I'm clearly a human given my overall interactions on discord (which often are lengthy and point on point responses to what other users said) along with list of other qualities evidencing I'm not a bot. Now I don't want to give my phone number out of desire to maintain privacy. I wrote to support but I'm still awaiting for answer from actual human not initial response from bot. I searched fairly exhaustively about this specific issue and seem fair number of people faced this issue and at least some unsuccessfully while whether anyone succeeded in retrieving aces to their account without phone verification remains unknown to me. Assuming it's the latter (as so far prospect of retrieving access to my account seems to be grim without phone verification) and that message was on grounds of suspicion of me being a bot for inviting those 4 people to a different server I think it would be reasonable to unblock me and people like me as clearly I'm not a bot given a quick glance of my account and action of restricting me for so little was fairly extreme.

im in the same shitty situation
their 'anti bot' system is overly aggressive it seems, and they take no piss nor mercy in giving it back either, or so the automated mail says at least...1 -
Here's a fix:
All you have to do is get another account to generate a verification code for your main account.
For example on a new account add a phone number.
Upon adding a phone number a verification code gets sent to that phone number.
Go back into your main account in incognito mode or on a different device and enter the verification code that was sent using the new account you just created.
Since both accounts are trying to verify their accounts with the same number Discord will accept the account that enters the correct generated code first.
I found out how to do this from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBfupySU6Ec
