New Notification Alert Setting - Alert only recently visited channels

I'm having constant difficulty combing thru too many alerts. I either have to completely MUTE and ignore certain channels across many servers, or drop membership altogether. I need a way where my reading habits can be kept fed the right way. I'm constantly bouncing between different communities at different times as i use discord for many different things. Sometimes this changes week to week, sometimes it can be months before i can swing back into a server to help on project XYZ.

I'd like a new setting on alerts that allows me to enable alerts for only the channels i've recently visited (read or chatted in) and allow me to define the number of hours the alert window will live until alerts are automatically squashed.

This will help me dive into one server i haven't been into a while, and start interacting, until i ignore it for X amount of time (before the auto-mute kicks in), creating a natural way to manage muting without the constant clicks, right-clicks, dropping and rejoining servers as my interests change or projects rotate in and out of my schedule.
