Account disabled for no reason for the 4th time
Hey. I'm aware of the absolute wreck that is the anti spam algorithms discord use, and the "ban wave" that is currently going on. Just thought I'd give my experience so far. I don't use a vpn or do anything I shouldn't be doing. I just use discord to socialize, as a paying customer.
I had an account a while back (months) that I deleted. Had absolutely no issues with that account for years. A few months later I created a new account and rejoined a couple of the old servers that I used to be in. Day 1 my account gets disabled, as I'm about to buy nitro. I put in a ticket and a couple of days later I get the old "looks like you got caught in our spam filter" message and my account is restored.
About a week later my messages gets shown as collapsed "from likely spammer" warnings to everyone else in the server. Keep in mind that I never spam and don't send many messages in the servers at all. I put in a ticket and about a couple days later my account gets disabled the second I re-add one of my old friends to my friends list. Again I put in a ticket and this time it takes support over a week to get back to me with the same "looks like you got caught in our spam filter", and they restore my account.
Another week goes by and the same happens again. Disabled for no reason. Takes them 2 weeks to get back to me.
Now we're here. Again. First my messages are shown as "from likely spammer" and now that a few days have gone by, bam. My account gets disabled the second I leave a server.
Put in a ticket about a week ago now and I have no hopes of support helping me out before another week has passed. Keep in mind that I've written multiple tickets and tried contacting various sections of the support structure to get someone to look into this continuous obviously malfunctioning spam algorithm, but to no avail. No responses aside from the auto generated messages.
I've tried making 2 alt accounts, and both of them immediately got hit with the "something's going on here" followed by the phone verification requirement to proceed. Guess what, my phone number is already tied to my original account, so no luck.
Of course its very frustrating for me. Worst of all is that I'm not alone in having these issues, though I seem to be particularly targeted. I know lots of people are struggling with the same issue. You can see it on the feedback section, Discord's twitter, and elsewhere. And nobody is impressed by Discords support and their lack of addressing these issues in any way whatsoever.
My plan is to get back on discord whenever the support teams reactivate my account, use the app like I always do and when Discord inevitably disables my account again I'm not going to bother with it anymore. I'm not prepared to go through this multiple times each month any longer.
Hope someone from Discord reads this and addresses the issue, but I know better.

Same here. Got my account disabled for trying to report a malicious discord server. Apparently we get banned for doing the right thing. Contacted discord several times and got the same messages over and over again. Its been like a month and I am seriously thinking of moving to Guilded.

This has happened to me as well. I was just finishing setting up my personal community server, and I was locked out and account disabled a week ago. No warning, no explanation of why I would have my account disabled. This is extremely distressing as Discord is one of the core platforms that I use to make a living and survive.

2nd time for me. Pretty much 5 minutes after creating the account back in October. But back then T&S responded within 4 hours and reactivated it. Now not a piep after over a week. I don't really have any hope this time. But it stated the same for me too, first people came to me saying all my messages were hidden cause of suspected spam. Then suddenly the logout of death.

Hey, how did you make a new account after one gets disabled? If i do it it keeps asking for a phone verifaction and i have tried to do it ones and my account got banned for spam.

Nah its probably over for all of us. Even if you get a new phone and email you still need to get a new connection maybe even new hardware. There are a lot of ways to ID you so if you make a new account now it will always get caught. It's funny. First they ban you cause their system throws false positives and then you can never come back with a new account. It really is like some horrible communist country. Once you are unpersoned you are gone. The party is always right. People are living in fear wondering when they get hit. Hammer and Sichel just like in the other URL for this forum.

I will not write long here. We all suffer from the same problem. My email account is disabled, my phone number is invalid. I cannot open a new account in any way. It's a very strict policy. Goodbye Discord, long live freedom.

Well the tickets are listed under "My activities". Still open but last activity is listed as one day ago so something is happening. Maybe some escalation settings who knows. At the moment they are getting like 41000 new tickets per day, if the ticket numbers are any indication.

Have you been able to get your account back? Mine just got banned today for the "spam" reason too.

Well I got mine after 16 days. But it seems the support ticket had nothing to do with it. Just got an email saying something suspicious happened with my account and that they deactivated it, click here to set new password. Maybe the system reevaluated the recent deactivations and lifted it.

Same exact story. It is the second time my account has been disabled without any explanation. Took a week for them to get back to me the first time then only a few days until it was disabled again. The first time they just said, "Oh sorry looks like your emails went to our spam folder. Just change your password." Even then my messages were getting marked as spam in different servers. The number of times that this comes up in the feedback forum is shocking...ngmi
