Why is server list / navigation so terrible?

For the life of me I cannot scroll conveniently the server list with a mouse, it's not even like theres a scroll bar for the 80+ discord servers I'm in. I could only imagine what a pain it would be for laptop users. Why can't there just be a conspicuous scroll bar instead of me scrolling for 5 minutes to the perfect spot

    I also have to keep changing the order of my servers just because of how inconvenient it is to scroll through them
