Alternative Ideas to Display Online Users in a Server

Currently there is one column that displays all users in a server. Users can be dividing into categories (roles) but it is still a fight for the top. What if we could widen the side bar to allow more than one column. This way we can fit more people into that section before one has to scroll down to look for a specific person. Can help servers with many mods that people are supposed to reach out to for specific help.
