UI still looks absolutely horrible

Every few weeks I update discord to see if it's gone back to the old UI, and get disappointed when it hasn't. Normally I'm alright with getting used to changes in it but this is just absolutely atrocious, especially with the inability to change the text size to our exact preference, a great feature which was butchered for no reason, and the spacing is absolutely horrible! Everything looks disjointed and messy as hell. I know this is not the first post to say something about it which makes me wonder why the UI is still kept? No one likes it.

    I think it was because they transitioned the android app to React Native so they can have one team for mobile development - with that came it's UI too.

    I greatly dislike it too. It made me dizzy for the first couple weeks after it was dropped on Android. I still wish there was an option for a legacy UI.

    May 17th 2022: DragoCubed I'm in the beta channel of the Android app and today I got an update that completely changed Discord for Android: it now uses React Native

    It's September and this UI update is still terrible, what are they doing! 
    I have no idea how this garbage made it past quality checks, it's horrible!

    The performance of the app went from good to worse, it's unacceptable.
    Everything lags to the point that inputs are skipped, this app is now TRASH.

    There's now pages and pages of negative feedback in these forums,
    and they're still set on this crash course? It's unbelievable. Roll back!!!
