Android Update Problems

This new update is really irritating to use. I mostly just use it just for DMs, no videos or gifs, and it's still very frustrating and comparatively unattractive.

Most frustrating of all, it seems to have some sort of bad processing issues. Despite a connection my streaming apps (which should need the wifi more) have no problem with, multiple times a day Discord has been becoming disconnected for seemingly no reason. I send a message, switch to youtube, switch back, connecting to wifi again. And when I enter the app for the first time, it takes a second to load the messages. And that's not just sticking on the loading screen for a further few seconds (and it's already a long loading screen of just the logo), it's taking me to my friend's DMs without loading any of them, instead saying it's the beginning of our messaging history and would I like to report her for spam? Also, I've gotten notifications for new messages, switched to discord to see what it is, and it hasn't even loaded, it's not there! It all makes using Discord very frustrating.

The other big issue is the new UI. I don't like a lot of it, and even if it's better by some metric, it's a real shame it wasn't implemented with toggles or other customization. I don't want the bolded names, I don't want the extra line's worth of blank space at the bottom of the messages, I don't want the enlarged font when typing.

Discord, please at least figure out the lagging/connection/data upload problems, because those are getting grating. If something pushes me away from your app, it's going to be that.

I have no idea how that unoptimized React Native garbage made it past quality checks, it's horrible!

The performance of the app went from good to unusable, it's not acceptable.
Everything lags to the point that inputs are skipped; this app is now TRASH.

I used this tutorial on how to revert back to the old native android style app, and I'm sticking to it!
