Notifications do not update correctly after React Native Andriod update

So.. some things obviously changed after the react native update. But one of them is particularly annoying for me. For some reason, after updating the app, I only receive the first notification to my watch, so if there is someone DMing me I am not able to quickly respond, because I cannot see what it is they or I typed next. My message still sends, I just can't see it. This feature works in every app, but Discord and it drives me crazy. I bought a watch because I don't want to pull my phone up every time somebody texted me "Hi". And I find leaving the phone on the table disrespectful to the person I am trying to talk with.

I use the original Galaxy Watch from 2019, but I bet this is a problem with other smart watches/bands too. In the attachment, you can see how it was before and how it is after the update. Note that my notifications are set to mention only.

I bet you can tell why is this frustrating. And BTW. the new notification system doesn't show up my profile picture in the notification bar after I reply... Worth noting, but not fixing IMO.
