Some requests for the new Forums
(I think I posted this in the wrong topic)
I love the new forum ability on Discord. Except there are three things that I personally would love to see. Some background info: I have a big community server that have a lot of topics as text channels that people can activate/deactivate based on their interest by using "reaction roles". So they can choose an emote and get a specific role so they will see those channels.
But this takes up a lot of roles on the Discord (100+ just for those channels). With the new forum ability I can change those text channels to forum posts where people can choose themselves to follow or unfollow certain posts/topics. And this will give me the ability to clean up all those extra roles, that makes my server also way more manageable and clean.
Hide after inactivity
Please add more options regarding when to "archive" certain posts. I would also like to see options like 'a year' or 'never'. A week is a bit short and posts will get inactive very quickly and people can't choose to follow them anymore unless the posts gets active again.
Collapse/uncollapse
Please give us also the option to collapse/uncollapse the forums we make in the navigation bar on the left. Just like what you can do now under categories. Except now I make different categories for forum topics so people can collapse/uncollapse the category. But I would love just to make one forum category and that people can just collapse certain forums.
Because I have some people that would love to follow certain topics/posts and want them on the navigation bar. But not all the time. And now I have to do this by making categories or let them unfollow posts in that forum to get their navigation screen clean and fresh.
Move
I would also like a "move" function. So that I can actually move a Forum post to a different Forum.
So You have Forum A and Forum B. In Forum B someone makes a Forum posts 1a. I want to move forum post 1a from Forum B to Forum A. This would make it way easier to moderate the forums if someone makes a mistake.

I am a bit late to the conversation as JUST having found and implemented forum. I want the collapse feature especially.
I am trying to make a community for those with chronic illnesses that share a ton of overlapping symptoms and comorbids… meaning I want a forum for each and the posts… having them visible is overwhelming and very invasive for the community I am trying to create.
The drag and drop suggestion? Amazing!0
