Starting a video call

You can start a video call on your mobile device from a DM or Group Message. Tap the 3 dots in the top right, then tap start video call.

iOS

A small group of users will notice that a new mobile screen will appear when they try to join a voice or video call in iOS as part of an experiment.

Now that we're here- there's a few different bits and pieces to maneuver through to get the most out of our face-to-face conversation stuff. Let's break it down:

1. Audio Output(iOS Only): Tap this button to change your audio output to your speakers or wireless headset!

2. Switch Camera: Switch between selfie-cam and your rear camera. 

3. Toggle Camera: Toggle your camera off/on.

4. Toggle Mute: Toggle your microphone off/on

Android Super Protip: If you're having issues rendering video, try enabling hardware scaling in your User Settings, or see this article! 

Medium Tip: If you're in a video call with somebody on the desktop app, they can screen share with you. However, you can't screen share back!
