Automod flag long messages

Some people abuse the 2000 characters allowed in a message to send ridiculously long messages, often taking up a lot of space. It would be useful if automod could limit the message length to 500. You can already sort of do this with this regex: "[\S\s]{178,}" But 177 characters is extremely little, that's why I want a built-rule for this.
