Dummy accounts for developers
As a developer, you often have to test features of your bot, like e.g. kick, ban ...
Nowadays you have two options:
- ask a friend to join a server and use him as a dummy
- create a fake account for you to use as a dummy
In the developer portal, there should be a tab "dummies", where you can create a dummy account. By clicking on it discord will open like a normal account.
Dummy accounts should:
- have access to DMs with bots (DMs with other users are not necessary)
- have a dummy tag for users, but act like normal users for bots
- join only guilds, the developer owns or has "Manage Server"-Permission on. By clicking on the plus in the server list a list with available servers shows.
- Dummies can be banned, kicked, get a timeout, get roles ... like everyone else
The dummies are temporary, after the dev closes the window, they leave all servers and delete their DMs.

My think This ideas is cool
Seeing how users use our bots is necessary to make improvements and fixes accordingly.

I find this idea crucial as making an actual account for it requires you to verify it with another email and phone number and depending on scenario you get littered with “Are you human?” verification prompts that are very, very tedious to deal with.
This needs to be implemented.0
