Tascam 16x08 issue

I try to use the Tascam 16x08 with a Shure mic. But it doesn't get any mic input.
In the list I see only microphone(us16x08), I would expect a list of one of the 16 input channels.
Is there anyone who get this working?

  You probably have to run the feed from your interface through software that can see all 16 input channels, then forward from that software to discord.
  
  Not sure if VoiceMeeter can handle the US16x08, as it is free, does not hurt to try.
