Can't talk while watching a stream/screen share

When joining a transmission Discord does not recognize my microphone and I can't talk, this issue of course only happens when watching a stream on a server or private call, however, this issue does not occur on either the web client or the mobile app.

After almost 2 weeks of talking to Discord support and trying everything they told me to try, even installing Discord PTB and Canary Discord, it did not work.

  Also happens to me on PTB and regular. I end up having to have an alt join whenever i wanna watch someone's game.

  i have the same problem..

  are you using any kind of soundcard with your microphone?
