[Idea] Feature Request: Ability to add a 'Featured Server' to your account profile
Ability to add a 'Featured Server' to your account profile!
A new feature Discord should implement as the title states is the ability for users to include a 'featured server' on their profile. This wouldn't be just any server you've joined, though. Under my proposal; by default you will need to be either the server owner or have the 'administrator' permission. Additionally, you could tie it into a role permission. And server owners or admins can grant access to a specific users within a role to feature the server!
The option to add a server to be featured would be entirely optional. As, not everyone would want their server displayed publicly. This would require:
- The application to be able to detect what servers you're in and if you're either the server owner, an administrator, or have a role which gives the ability to feature a server.
- An account setting that allows you to enable or disable such servers to be your 'featured server', similar to being able to display your accounts on your profile or not. (Needed in case a user has more than one server they can feature.)
On the profile, this 'Featured Server' section would take advantage of the extra space left over from the notes section. The following picture is a mock-up of the proposed feature: 
As you can see, the placement for the feature fits right into the UI. You may be asking "why couldn't it be placed lower, with the other connections?"
My answer would be, that it doesn't feel right placing it along the other connections. A server is not an account. And therefore, it should be placed in a separate location.

Similar to being able to track how many have muted your server in server insights, you would also be able to track how many users feature your server!

Great idea but I think it would be better if rather than just the owner and admins have the choice, the owner/one of the admins can grant permissions to feature said server.

At that point, you could make it a role permission. And whomever has that role, can add the server as a 'featured server'. This doesn't harm the original idea either. I like it!Updated the original post. Thank you!
