Disabling Reply Feature in Servers, or muting notifications from it.
Certain members that use Discord seem to love using the reply feature whenever they are talking, and honestly it causes some annoyance for me and some other members of my server. I am not saying to get rid of the reply feature, but why does it have to ping us everytime it is used? Please give us the option to disable pings from this feature, either server wide or personally, or just an option to disable replies on a server in general.

It doesn't really 'ping us everytime it is used'. It pings whenever that 'On' button is on. If you don't want to be pinged, they have to turn it off. But having it as a channel permission thing where you don't get pinged would be cool.

This would be great, i think maybe if we can configure the ping on and off by default when responding would be grate to.

Agreed. Users should at least be able to disable notifications from the reply option in their personal settings, although I don't even understand why it should automatically be on to begin with. Using Discord has been made more annoying ever since they introduced the new reply option, because it depends entirely on the other user respecting or not your wish to not be notified when they reply to your 2 weeks old message with "ok".

Indeed. Most people can't even look to the right of their screen to see the @ON button, and so you have to spend twenty minutes explaining how the "Reply" feature works and then get warned for being rude (example).
Just make it be disabled by default in the next update, or, indeed, add a permission to disable it.0 -
Well, you can disable message history: https://youtu.be/GShkiQP7mnM
But it's not the best solution.0
