Sound difficulties

I have a problem I was on a call when suddenly my sound stopped working I thought it was the volume but it wasn't because my volume is on 96 so then I restarted my laptop because I thought that was the problem too but that wasn't it so I decided to uninstall the app and reinstall it and my sound continued to not work then I closed the app and opened it again that didn't work I reset my sound settings that didn't work either so I decided to search and when I searched it told me I had to update the app and that's what I did but that still didn't work so I decided to see if I had sound on other apps like YouTube etc. and I did but my Discord sound wasn't working so I call three close friends they said they couldn't hear me and I told them that I couldn't hear them either so if you can I really need help on help on how to get my sound back to work.
