The video file's MB doesn't really limit up to 8MB, it's less than 8MB

I want to share a video with exact 8MB and to test if Discord really limit the file's data storage.

I thought it will send, ik it's exactly 8mb on my video

I tried to send in-app

Then this is really suspecious

I turn on "always compress images" but it still send me this message even tho I press "send compress" it doesn't send.

 

Now I already know that Discord is becoming greedy when it comes to limiting file's storage. Pls fix this issue

    The limit was 8MB. Even if your file is 8.001MB, that's still greater than 8MB. But at the time you posted this the limit was 8MB on mobile and 8MiB on desktop (approx. 8.38MB). So you could copy the file over to a computer and post it from there. Stupid, I know. I haven't checked more recently to see if this discrepancy still applies.
