Generally hard on eyes

Some smaller things before addressing the elephant in the room:
New server/chat name font is hard to focus on and looks a bit sloppy, along with the bold font.
The green is fine.
The logo is ok, that's just something to get used to.
The blue to highlight something being more purple now doesn't really make it look highlighted anymore.
The cyan clashes a bit, the one in the tagging ping, but that's manageable.

Now the blurple, that's been bugging me nonstop since the update.

I've found it doesn't work in both light and dark, however as a darkmode user it's at its worst there. It's painful to look at and pretty unappealing, clashes with every shade of grey in the app.
I've found myself constantly try to find anything else to look at when it shows on screen.
If there's at least a way to make this optional it'd be appreciated.
Don't think I'll ever get used to the new blurple, it's too contrasted, the old colour was fine in that case. Never had a single problem with the colours before that.

Haven't had this amount of eye strain from something since using the wii.
If possible, the option to switch would be helpful at least.
