Design Flaw with UDP ports doesn't match new branding

The way Discord is designed, it requires a huge swath of UDP ports to enable Voice and Video communication in Voice Channels.  For workplaces and school divisions (such as mine, who just recently experienced a hack), the willingness to open up a span of 15 thousand UDP ports is an absolute negative.  And I don't blame them ... it renders networks at a huge risk.

But if Discord is going to rebrand itself for a variety of different purposes beyond simply gaming, it had better have a design that allows for secure communication in the workplace.

I HIGHLY recommend Discord adjust its infrastructure to narrow the number of UDP ports it requires to be on par with other platforms like Google Meet (7 UDP ports) and ZOOM (4 UDP ports).  That would likely be far more acceptable to workplaces that don't want to open so many ports as to basically say "hey hackers, hack us!"

This is not an endorsement of the new branding.  It is an endorsement of the rationale for a new brand, which is to say you want to open yourselves to a wider market.  But the current insecure design of the use of 15000 UDP ports belies that marketing strategy.  All the same, I prefer the old brand, and would like you to #ChangeItBack while still opening yourself up to a wider audience.
