Horrible Moderation and Appeals

I genuinly dont get how discord, a platform with millions of global users, can constantly have some of the worst enforcement of moderation against actual rule breakers, and then ban innocent people out of the blue without so much of a reason except “You violated TOS” with no explanation. And then on top of that have such a horrible appeals department that no one ever gets their account reinstated and they end up having to create a new account just to re-add everyone they talk to, get added to a server that does something against TOS and get banned for being a member all over again.
