These buttons are in the way and annoying

I cant easily access my messages or the chat areas anymore because of this stupid update😡

  I don't have kind things to say about the update (see my post in Mobile, new ux is awful), but the issue you're experiencing here looks like a bug. 

  Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and clearing the app cache within android app settings? The buttons there/tab panel should be displaying above your navigation buttons and not overlapping. 

  Looking at the notification bar the font seems custom, so this may be a conflict with the Android UI skin. Would you be able to test/verify with a different Launcher and see if it gives you the same results?
