Sight and accessibility of the new update.
Good evening, my apologies but I have just saw the recent update to the discord app. Although the concept for this update is understandable, there are things I am genuinely concerned with. Specifically with: how the visual update looks, as I have noticed a post from Reddit where there was one user who had to stop using discord due to how the visual update made the ability to use it as a text based platform inaccessible due to how they had a visual disorder that the prior versions were able to handle due to that prior version of dark mode. However with the other changes, I think it will take getting used to, but it does seem to be more intuitive. May I ask what might be addressed regarding the prior changes to the brightness and contrast of the app to allow people with different visual disorders to experience the app? In addition to this there are other changes that drastically reduced the quality of life such as the removal of the server search feature, which could impact their ability to enjoy and access the servers that they have joined. I hope this isn’t too much to mention.

Having different options for medium/low/high contrast enables the app to be accessible to people with different kinds of visual disorders! If we had the current 3 options for free with light dark midnight but the dark was back to the pleasant grey it was before that would be a lot more helpful - a large part of why i started using discord for all my dms is because the grey was good for my migraines, whereas the current dark mode has triggered a migraine severe enough that i am on the verge of vomiting and losing partial vision :(
