Ads in Discord will guarantee I will cancel Nitro and consider other options

Adding ads to Discord, particularly if Nitro does not remove any and all ads, will guarantee that I will cancel my Nitro and will consider other options, while encouraging my peers to do the same.

Nitro's value has been in a constant downfall. It is obvious that Discord is unable to form a decent value proposition for quite some time, and is utterly failing at worthwhile monetization. There are quite a few monetization possibilities that Discord repeatedly fails to capitalize on. As a result, Discord's desperation for revenue is apparent, forcing Discord to consider advertisement revenue streams.

I have been a Nitro subscriber since the day it was available in the US in January of 2017. That's over 7 years at this point. I will not hesitate to cancel if ads are added directly into Discord, and I will put in the effort to move to other platforms. I encourage Discord to reconsider, and encourage Discord to properly capitalize on other monetization possibilities that ad value to Discord's users.

I'm a Nitro Classic subscriber and we already get the shit end of the barrel. I'm finna disown Discord on my phone and discontinue my subscription if any form of Nitro has any form of ads.

If I see even ONE single “SPONSORED” in-line chat message I'm sending nuclear launch codes to every PC on the planet.

This isnt limited to classic, regular nitro gets these ads too and you cant turn them off. Today i saw a valorant ad, i have never and will never play that game, and seeing the ad for it offended me to my core and filled me with a terrible resolve to see the ads annihilated from my discord experience by any means necessary.
