It does seem to be a scam, I fell for something similar. Contact Discord Support ASAP.

That is a very common scam. 90% certainty your account was not reported to discord. The scammer will trick you into interacting with someone pretending to be discord staff. The will then trick you into giving them sensitive information (such as username an passwor) under the guise of verification.
If you are still unsure open a support ticket (not a feedback post) on this site. Do not follow any links or use any email addresses provided by th scammers.

Its a scam, do NOT do what they say or else you will lose your account like how I did, been a month after I filed a ticket and there's still no response from the support, the support service suck.

Why did they report someone for being a scammer? Was there any specific reason like golf fitness trainer or incident that prompted the report?

It really sounds like a scam to me. I had a friend who went through the same thing and ended up losing their account after following similar instructions. Avoid any contact with this "Jared Miller" and don't share any personal info. Instead, reach out to Discord Support directly through their official channels. Better safe than sorry!
