Transfer of ownership criteria.
I have major issue with This clause “The current server owner hasn't accessed their account for at least a month” & This clause “Please note: If the previous server owner’s account was disabled, the transfer may be denied”. On paper these are perfectly fine though the latter one is -ify but my problem lies when the owner of a server has there discord account hacked and discord cannot recover it.
In this situation, where i have a personal experience, when submitting a ticket to support, discord doesn't intervene with the hacked account, even with overwhelming proof that the account was hacked such as screenshots from owner of the account with discord support themselves. By doesn't intervene I mean they will not disable, delete or make any disciplinary action regarding the hacked account. Infact they requested that I report said account on discord instead, are they asking me to spam report an account?, great.
Secondly upon me, an admin in one of several servers with over 150members and has been active for over 30days, submitting a ticket to support for a transfer of server ownership since the owners account cannot be recovered from the hacker I am powerless and discord refuses to make any attempt or effort in my plight strictly because of the before mentioned causes.
Since the hacked account is, well, still actively being used by the hacker for some reason it still falls under the first clause “The current server owner hasn't accessed their account for at least a month” I dont think i need to point out how dumb brained that is. The 2nd clause also has effect So if the hacked account is disabled for whatever reason the server can simply never be recovered, regardless of another factor or so that's according to Lawrence.
Needless to say i've been going back and forth with support over this for the past few days and they basically give 1-2 blanket sentences saying the same thing in different way not actually answering any of the questions i am putting forward, until yesterday when Lawrence said "At this time, the best bet would be to recreate a new server and create and share an invite link by posting the link within the old server, so that everyone active in the old server can use that link to join the new server" what part of “The owners account was hacked by a crypto bro and he is still active” didnt he understand? Should i roll out the red carpet and invite him into a new server?? are you kidding me?
Anyway back on point, both is clauses are detrimental and need to be change since now our server has been butchered and made into some scam server. Thanks for the help discord.
