Spacing between chat and textbar

With the new UI update, spacing between the text bar and written text in chat appears to be slightly too small, making it feel as if I am scrolled up to an earlier message as opposed to seeing the most recent one. 

For reference, I am on default spacing, although from looking through the options that doesn't seem to matter.
